Initial data
The program «Topographical diagram of potentials» is intended for construction
of the topographical diagram of potentials of the set circuit combined with
the vector diagram of currents.
The beginning of work
Right after start of the program there is a window resulted in figure.
Structures of the data with which the program works
The project
is the list of the circuits incorporated on semantic value.
For example, it is necessary to perform settlement - graphic work which includes drawing up of diagrams for several circuits. Thus, the project will be settlement - graphic work.
The circuit
is set by the corresponding circuit with the help of the editor. The circuit will consist of final number of the elements connected among themselves. In the program it is used three kinds of elements: a connecting wire, eds, resistance.
The usual script of actions of the user
- 1. The user creates the new project (menu File ► New project).
- 2. Creates necessary quantity of circuits (menu File ► New chain).
- 3. Sets each circuit the corresponding circuit, enters the initial data: resistance of elements, currents (all this is done with the help of the editor of circuits, is see farther).
- 4. The program makes check of the circuit of a circuit and a correctness of the initial data, and also precomputation of potentials of all points of a circuit. (menu Project ► Calculation chain).
- 5. After these actions it is possible to see the diagram. (menu Project ► Review chart).
To keep circuits for subsequent use it is possible with the help of item of menu File ► Save project.
And next time works of the program to load the kept project from a disk with the help of item of menu File ► Open project.

Editing of the circuit of a circuit.
The order of actions of the task of the circuit.


To start the editor of a circuit, we shall choose in a window «Contents project» a circuit interesting us pressing of the left key of the mouse the corresponding name.
Then we shall choose item of menu Project ► Edit scheme. In the right part of a window of the program the editor of the circuit will appear. There will be in this case an editing of the circuit «Chain 1».

In the left part of the editor three buttons (resistance, eds, a wire) are located.
Pressing buttons on the circuit there will be corresponding elements.
From each element departs two points.
To connect two elements among themselves, choose a point of one element pressing of the left button of the mouse.
Then again press above a point the left button and keeping her move a point to a point of other element.
Release the button of the mouse. If you have connected an element to others, but have decided not and want it{him} to disconnect: choose an element (pressing of the left button of the mouse, the chosen element will be drawn by red color); press above the chosen element the right button of the mouse; the menu in which corresponding item of separation will appear is possible to choose.


Having constructed the circuit, it is possible to start the task of designations of elements, the task of resistance, currents, eds.
Choose on the circuit an element, for an example resistance.
In a window of "Property" will appear properties of the given element.
Here it is possible to set a designation of an element on the circuit. For example « the Type of an element » can be entered into a field of input R, and into a field of input « the Index of an element » to enter 1. Then on the circuit the element will be designated R1.
In the same window it is possible to set a current which is taking place through the given element, and his resistance (to press the corresponding button).

For type of element EDS in a window of "Property" there will be all as well as at an element of type Resistance, only instead of value of resistance of an element it is possible to enter value EDS.
In the same way it is possible to set designations to central points of a circuit. It is necessary to choose a point on the circuit and in a window of "Property" into a field the Designation to enter the name of a point (for example: a, b, c, …).
The remark
At the task of the current which is taking place through an element, it is necessary to take into account, that for a positive direction of a current the direction from a point "1" to a point "2" is accepted.
For example, in the previous figure for the chosen element the positive direction of a current on the right on will be left. If, in this case, it is necessary to accept for a positive direction - a direction at the left on the right it is necessary to develop the chosen element on 180, i.e. all over again to disconnect the ends "1" and "2", and then to connect elements as it is necessary.
Viewing of the diagram
So, having constructed the circuit further it is necessary, that the program has lead calculations and has defined potentials in all points of a circuit, for this purpose choose item of menu Project ► Calculation chain. If the program does not have not enough those data which are designated on the circuit the window with the description of a mistake will appear. If everything is all right it will be possible to press item of menu Project ► Review chart.
On the screen the dialogue window in which will appear is necessary to choose a point, potential which is equal to zero, and to specify the sizes of the diagram in pixels (it is by default offered 600х600, for an example the usual sanction of the screen of the monitor 800х600). We press button OK.
In the right part of a window of the program the diagram will appear. The diagram can be kept as a file bmp (item of the menu View ► Save as picture) which, for example, can be inserted into document Word at registration of the report on work.
